After reading that Banteay Srei is the “crown jewel of the Kmer style” in regards to the delicateness of it’s carving I knew we had to go check it out. Banteay Srei — citadel of the women, or citadel of beauty is dedicated to Shiva and is miniature in scale compared to all the other temples. The temples walls are covered in intricate and delicate carvings in bas relief in the red sandstone.
