The antennae were the first clue. Its obvious if you were to crush him he would send out a distress signal to his fleet of buddies to come and attack. He had some monstrously sized mandibles and I would have been scared he would take a massive chunk out of my hand... when he flew away his exoskeleton opened like a switchblade and he took off like Boba Fetts space ship. freaky.
