I am a little sore about the way this worked out... I spent a couple days ignoring everything else to work on this since i slacked on a submission for a contest, but then after sumbitting it I never heard back from the person who posted to the mailing list, several emails later...still no reply, i had to ask a friend who spends more time in the trenchs of the psytrance community to find out what was going on ...turns out they scrapped the competetion altogether... but didnt tell anyone.
Oh well. This peice was originally inspired by some of Alponse Muchas Art Nouveau peices I sought to mix art nouveau with newer psychedelic images (does this make this Art nouveau nouveau? or new new art?) Anyhow the color scheme was based on Muchas "Job" logo, the shape blatantly ripped off from his Moet Chandon labels and the patterned background is a kaleidoscoped portion of the Job womans hair.
Its almost a mockery compared to the grace and fluidity of Alphonse Muchas work... but my aim wasn't that.
